Coaching with Kristina

Over the years, many writers have asked if I'd take a look at their manuscript. The answer is yes, I often can.*  In fact, I offer comprehensive coaching/editing services.

Here are the areas where I can help you most:

  • Nonfiction book proposals

  • Query letters (both nonfiction and fiction)

  • Nonfiction book manuscripts

  • Nonfiction articles

For an idea of the sort of in-depth assistance I provide, please download this query letter by novelist Will Sander. It shows how I typically "mark up" manuscripts, offering assistance in the areas of grammar, punctuation, format, and style. I also offer advice about concepts, marketing, and the best way to get published.

In short, I hope to make you the most successful writer you can be.

"Kristina has been a huge help to me. She knows the publishing industry and eagerly shares her knowledge and experiences. Always encouraging, Kristina's critiques are constructive; honest and helpful without being harsh. I definitely recommend her services."

Tanya Dennis, freelance writer

I charge a flat fee of $60 to work on your first five pages. You'll discover many problems found in the first five pages are also found throughout the rest of your manuscript. Once you read my comments on those first five pages, you can:

  • continue on your own, making corrections throughout the rest of your manuscript based on the comments I've already made, or

  • continue with my one-on-one coaching for the rest of the work.

I charge $40 an hour for the rest of a project. For returning clients, the flat fee is waived. If your manuscript is less than five pages, the flat fee of $60 still applies. All coaching takes place via email. Fees are payable through PayPal.

Questions? Please email me; I can usually get back to you within 24 hours.

"Kristina has been extremely helpful to me...I welcomed every comment she gave - little mini notes covering the margins of every page! She had both criticism and compliments, all done in a very professional manner and never making me feel like a failure. I definitely plan to send my 'final' draft to Kristina again to get her approval. She has a wealth of knowledge in every aspect of the writing industry. I definitely recommend her to anyone..."

If you'd like to schedule coaching/editing time, please email me with the following:

  • Your manuscript

  • A cover letter explaining what type of project you're working on and what type of help you hope to receive (i.e., complete editing, a general overview of strengths and weaknesses, etc.).

Within a week's time, I will reply.

* Please note: I'm not always able to say "yes" to everyone, as my own writing deadlines sometimes interfere.
