Coaching with Kristina

Over the years, many writers have asked if I'd take a look at their manuscript. The answer is yes, I often can.*  Here are the areas where I feel I can help you most:

  • Nonfiction book proposals

  • Query letters

  • Nonfiction book manuscripts

  • Nonfiction articles

All coaching and editing takes place via email, and must be scheduled one week in advance.

"Kristina has been a huge help to me. She knows the publishing industry and eagerly shares her knowledge and experiences. Always encouraging, Kristina's critiques are constructive; honest and helpful without being harsh. I definitely recommend her services."

Tanya Dennis, freelance writer

My coaching/editing services are $50 an hour. To help you determine how long your project might take, please look at these general notes:

  • To help you polish query letter or short article typically takes one hour.

  • For a general overview of strengths and weaknesses in a book proposal, expect about an hour (for a short proposal) to two hour's (for a long proposal) work. To give a thorough polishing usually requires more time, depending on the proposal's needs.

  • To help you polish a medium-length article will often take about an hour. To do extensive editing may take several more hours.

Questions? Please email me; I can usually get back to you within 24 hours.

"Kristina has been extremely helpful to me...I welcomed every comment she gave - little mini notes covering the margins of every page! She had both criticism and compliments, all done in a very professional manner and never making me feel like a failure. I definitely plan to send my 'final' draft to Kristina again to get her approval. She has a wealth of knowledge in every aspect of the writing industry. I definitely recommend her to anyone..."

Judy Smith, playwright

If you'd like to schedule coaching/editing time, please email me with the following:

  • Your manuscript

  • A cover letter explaining what type of project you're working on and what type of help you hope to receive (i.e., complete editing, a general overview of strengths and weaknesses, etc.).

Within a week's time, I will reply with an estimate.

* Please note: I'm not able to say "yes" to everyone, as my writing deadlines sometimes interfere and I want to give you all the time and energy you and your manuscript deserve.
